Before there was a Strutterz jersey, a roster, or a team on the field, there were two families with a shared vision for something different.
Throughout the fall of 2025 and spring of 2026, Tabitha and Eddie Whitman and Khristina and Bob Grant kept coming back to the same question:
“What if we created the kind of baseball organization we would want our own kids to grow up in?”
That question led to months of conversations, research, planning, and a whole lot of prayer.
They envisioned an organization where kids could compete and develop without losing their love for the game. Where coaches didn’t just see a player’s talent, but saw the kid underneath the jersey. Where families felt welcomed, players felt valued, and success was measured by more than a scoreboard.
Eventually, “What if?” became “Let’s do it.”
The four founders didn’t start Carolina Strutterz because they believed they had all the answers. They started it because they believed they could build something special — something they would be proud for their own children to be part of.
And that’s still the standard.
Because when a parent chooses Carolina Strutterz, they’re trusting us with far more than a baseball player.
They’re trusting us with their child.
We will never take that responsibility lightly.
Our founders may have started the Strutterz, but this organization belongs to every player, coach, and family who believes in what we’re building.
Our names may be behind the beginning.
But the kids will always be the reason. 🦃⚾
